A member call about how to reaffirm the benefits of the mutual fund structure, and the challenges impacting the perception and sales of mutual fund products was held Thursday, August 27, at 1:00 pm EDT.  Materials from the call are now available including the Powerpoint, the transcript, and the audio recording.

In his role as RVP, Western Division Sales Manager, Wayne Wagner oversees the western 2/3 of the
United States for Principal Financial Group’s mutual fund division. Prior to accepting this position in December 2008, Wagner was RVP, Central Division Sales Manager for Principal Funds. As such, he was responsible for managing sales activity in the central part of the United Statesfor Principal Funds during that time. Previous to joining Principal Funds, Wagner was a Senior Regional Director for Russell Investment Group. His primary responsibilities there included new business development, training and coaching financial advisors, and leading a team responsible for raising several hundred million dollars each year in Russell’s mutual funds and separate accounts. Wagner has also held positions with AllianceBernstein and Delaware Investments. Wagner is a CIMA designee and serves on the IMCA Investments and Wealth Monitor magazine’s Editorial Board and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration, from the University of Southern California.
